Line

A young man’s sole ambition is to become a don, he joins the gang of one don and later, he starts taking both dons for a ride. Whether he fulfills his dream or not forms the essence.

Story

Seenu (ravi teja) grows up with only one aim, to become a don and he is inspired a lot by Amitabh Bachchan’s film ‘Don’. He comes to the city and realizes that two dons are at clash with each other. They are Narsing (srihari) and Machiraju (sayaji). Seenu joins the gang of Machiraju and he is assigned the role of wooing Narsing’s sister and make her fall in love with him so that Machiraju’s sister can marry the son of big don Mukesh (mahesh). Seenu is successful in his mission but then a twist in the story happens when he returns. With that, he has to counter many turns and what happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Artistes and technicians

Ravi Teja gave a fabulous performance and he did his bit with aplomb. Shriya was absolutely sensational and she will be responsible for the film’s success in a big way. Anjana Sukhani looks cute. Srihari was impressive, Sayaji was apt, Brahmi was hilarious, Mahesh Manjrekar was good, Venu Madhav and Ali gave few smiles, Kasturi looks very different, Surekha Vani looks homely, the others did their bit as required. The director came up with a routine storyline but then he cushioned it with rich presentation and entertaining narration. The dialogues were fun, script was okay, screenplay was normal. Songs were a disappointment but cinematography was excellent. Editing was below average, locations were excellent, costumes were good, art department was effective. Fights were regular.

First half and second half

While the first half takes off on a promising note and provides enough entertainment, it is the second half that brings down the graph and goes for a lengthy period.

Report

The film will be a treat to the masses with Ravi Teja’s antics and Shriya’s oomph show. Even the comedy tracks worked in few place and though the content is weak, these things make up for it. While there are few scenes which are devoid of logic and common sense, that’s a natural part of any Telugu movie. This is not for the thinking audience and those who seek quality cinema. This is a treat for the masala audience and those who want some time pass entertainment.
